I must have coloured this from scratch about 6 times and I'm still not sure about the outcome? I'm glad it's finally finished though! I really want to join this group but there seems to be really high art standards so I don't know if I'm good enough? _{fingers crossed!}

Personality: Yuno is the ultimate enabler of bad ideas. Her attitude to almost any suggestion has always been 'YES LET'S GO NOW' and she had scarcely ever backed down from a challenge. She is enthusiastic, impulsive and recklessly brave - over the past few years she has tried to learn some restraint but has quite frankly failed miserably. She is optimistic almost to the point of stupidity, and quite often so cheerful it's annoying. She is a peculiar mix of girlyness and tomboyishness; it is hard to find anyone else more enthusiastic about haircare or streetball. Yuno genuinely wants the best for people - unfortunately, she doesn't really understand them, so her attempts to 'break people out of their shells' often result in people being more withdrawn afterwards than before. Due to her lack of seriousness and difficulty concentrating, Yuno holds a great admiration for studious and intelligent people who can do what she can't. She is something of a flirt, and her general 'type' can be described as whoever will panic most on receiving her advances. She can often be petty, selfish and vain, even when it hurts other people, although she is rarely ever deliberately cruel.

Yuno grew up in her father's household: her parents divorced so early in her childhood that she could scarcely remember anything else. She had a happy homelife - her father had dedicated his all to her and her brother's (8 years older) happiness. In a way, it worked - she was always happier at home. Her dyslexia made school difficult for her, and she became gradually more frustrated until she abandoned the idea of ever catching up. By the time it was diagnosed, at age 7, she was already leagues behind. Throughout the bulk of her childhood, she was something of a delinquent; resolving to conceal her difficulty reading with a lack of will to do so, to herself and to others. It was an attitude that took a revelation to reverse.

Yuno liked sport. It was something of a surprise, to be honest. She'd always been a rather traditional girly girl. It was perhaps at that moment, the moment that changed her life, that turned everything around, that motivated her to do better in everything she did-

Yuno woke up.

She wanted to be a basketball player.

Like, as a job.

It was a very strange experience for her.

It quickly became apparent that her previous attitude just wasn't going to cut it - she was going to have to do things. All the good 'sporting' schools, with the proper equipment had minimum requirements, requirements that her P.E. scores couldn't support alone. For the first time in her life, Yuno studied. It wasn't even awful.

Higashimori was the goal.


Trivia:
- She remains the only person in her middle school basketball team to have played a league match with fake nails on. She does not recommend the experience.

- She knows how to handle herself in a street fight. She's unlikely to be able to hold off someone stronger than her indefinitely, but she can be surprisingly vicious.
- She's not a very good singer. She is, however, a very loud singer.

- She picks her shoes based on the amount of damage they can do as a projectile weapon to a mans face.
- Her favourite thing is when people older than her, particularly boys, are shorter than her. She's very easily amused.

Crouched on the ground outside the classroom, orange stained make up wipes crumpled in her hand, Yuno waited. And waited. And waited. It took fifteen rings for him to answer. It bloody well always did. She'd counted.

'Yuuta!' She hissed. 'What the hell are you playing at?' The voice on the other side replied, unfazed.

'Sorry, I thought you were a call centre-'

'You know that's not what I mean.' There was a pause. 'The heavy make up rule. You read the booklet for me - you should have told me!'

'I-' the voice continued, as calm as it had ever been, 'I forgot.'

Yuno forced the cheer back into her voice. 'Fine! It's okay. You can forget it.' She let out a breath and pressed the button, shoving her phone to the bottom of her bag - oh, but what were the rules about mobiles? This was important, this was her new start, she couldn't afford to break the rules here, she had measured her shoes, she -

'Yuno?' The teacher's voice called, 'You can introduce yourself now.'

She straighted up. She wasn't nervous about this. She could never be nervous about this. This was social stuff. This was her area of expertise. Adopting a carefree smile, she crumpled up the make up wipes and stuffed them in the bin.

'What the hell.' She muttered, 'I'm still pretty.'

Giving a carefully aimed wink at no one in particular, she strode into the classroom and turning on her heels to face the other students, began to speak.

'Yuno Hisakawa!' She chimed, 'I'm from Nishimori, so I guess I'm local? My dad owns a garage there. I hope we can get along!'

She smiled to herself. This - this was the change she wanted.
